Strata, Ham and Broccoli

12 slices white bread, crusts removed
1 (10-ounce) package frozen, chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
2 cups diced, cooked ham
6 large eggs, lightly beaten
cups milk
1 tablespoon dried, minced onion
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
3 cups (12 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese


  • Cut bread into small cubes. Layer bread cubes, broccoli and ham in a buttered 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • Combine eggs abd remaining 4 ingredients; stir well. Pour into dish; cover and chill at least 8 hours.
  • Remove from refrigerator; let stand for 30 minutes.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 55 to 60 minutes.
